Octavovect Association is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 2005 and is based in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro (NMBM). Octavovect supports about 20 facilities in three sub-districts of NMBM. Their mission is to train community care workers so they can render quality treatment and support through integrated home based care and DOTS. Octavovect has also developed more than 300 food gardens for TB patients and follow-up on children on ARVs treatment.
Improved the access and continuum care of quality TB/HIV services; trained Community base workers in TB-HIV, nutrition and Infection Control- to increase TB identification and HIV and reduced Spread of infection at community level
