Thabo Mwale TB Foundation (TMTBF)

Grantee Information: 

Thabo Mwale TB Foundation (TMTBF) is a non-profit organization founded by Mr. Thabo Mwale, a TB survivor in 2005. The foundation assists the Department of Health to combat the spread of TB through its activities in Tshwane District. Tshwane has a population of 2.5 million people and has seven regions and 105 wards. TMTBF has successfully organized TB and AIDS Day in Ga-Rankuwa in 2011. It has also arranged TB school campaign in 15 schools in Tshwane and hosted door to door campaign in the community of Ga-Rankuwa.

Purpose: 
To create awareness on TB and HIV in Ga-Rankuwa, including taxi ranks and industrial employees; to identify TB cases through symptomatic screening
