Wagon of Hope Foundation was established in the year 2000 and it is a non-profit community development organization serving the communities of Cape Winelands District in the Western Cape. Cape Winelands has five health sub-districts and much of the population live in rural areas and work on farms for a living. Due to the remote location of the districts, medical facilities are hard to reach which has contributed to the failure in TB detection, prevention and treatment. Wagon of Hope Foundation is working with district health services to intensify community mobilization to improve TB outcome.
