Catholic Diocese of Port Elizabeth AIDS Committee

Grantee Information: 

The Diocesan Aids Office, King William’s Town started as a Catholic Church Aids Project which was established in 2001, to promote HIV/AIDS Prevention and to provide care and support for those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.  This Catholic Church Aids Ministry has been instrumental in spearheading many programmes in the rural areas in the Eastern Cape.

Purpose: 
To integrate their TB services with their home based care services in line with the District Health Plan; Provide capacity buildings; training to community health workers and care givers; foster joint participation from community including teaching community leaders how to raise funds
