Human Sciences Research Council of South Africa is a statutory research agency established in 1968. It is a non-partisan organization whose core business is to conduct large-scale, policy-relevant, social scientific projects for public sector users, NGO’s and international development agencies in partnership with researchers globally, but specifically in Africa. It has a dedicated staff of almost 500, composed of professional researchers, technical and administrative staff based in five different offices located in Pretoria, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban and Sweetwaters. www.hsrc.ac.za
